Generate custom AI transitions without ever leaving Resolve.
inframer is a DaVinci Resolve plugin that generates transitions between your clips with AI video all within your timeline.
Requires DaVinci Resolve Studio. Windows first; macOS planned.
The problem
So, you've decided you need an AI transition. Now you need to export a frame, open a browser, upload, wait, download, re-import, conform. A dozen steps outside your NLE for less than two seconds of footage. inframer keeps it on the timeline: leave a gap, describe the transition, generate.
How it works
Select
Open inframer and scan the timeline. inframer reads the boundary frames and identifies gaps.
Generate
The boundary frames go to a first/last-frame video model; you get a clip that starts and ends on your footage.
Insert
inframer conforms it to length and drops it in place. Convenient and non-destructive.
Questions
Does this work with the free version of Resolve?
No. Resolve only loads workflow plugins in Studio.
What does it cost?
Early access is free — you bring your own API key for the video model. Later, inframer will offer hosted generation, priced per generation.
What happens to my frames?
Two boundary frames per generation are sent to the video model's API. Nothing else leaves your machine.
Which AI models does it use?
Several current first/last-frame video models. You pick one per generation, and you can regenerate with a different one. Have a model in mind you want to use? Send an email to inframer@proton.me
